How to prepare for a frontend interview without fake confidence
9 min · 2026-08-15
Many markets have fewer pure “junior” openings and more demand for evidence: a project you can walk through, decisions you can defend, and a GitHub history that looks finished.
Preparation that helps: deepen fundamentals (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), ship 2–4 portfolio-ready projects, practice explaining trade-offs, and rehearse common frontend interview patterns. Preparation that hurts: memorizing slogans, padding CVs, and inventing metrics.
Interview readiness is a skill you can train — communication, problem solving, and how you present projects. It is not the same as a guaranteed offer.
If you want guided support across portfolio, applications, and mock interviews, Career Accelerator exists for that. If you only need one technology, take a skill course. Match the offer to the problem.
